Pet adoption and rescue powered by Adopt-a-Pet.com

Looking to adopt?

Thanks for your interest!

Step 1: Filling out an adoption application

Dog Adoption Survey
Cat Adoption Survey
Once your application has been received, we will email and/or call you to discuss your application and to ask any questions
we may have. The more information you put on the application, the better we can assist you with finding an animal
that is the right fit for your home and family.

Filling out the application does not obligate you to adopt. You are welcome to fill it out then wait until you are ready to adopt
and meet the animal that is the best fit for your home. Applications stay in our system, so there is no pressure to find a
new pet ASAP.

Step 2: Meeting our animals

Once your application has been approved, you are ready to meet our animals!

If you are interested in adopting a cat or kitten, you can meet them anytime we are open (Tuesday-Friday 10am-4pm or Saturday 10am-2pm). We require all cats/kittens to be transported home in secure carriers, so we recommend bringing one with you when you come to visit!

If you are interested in adopting a dog or puppy, please note that all meet and greets are by scheduled appointment only. Please private message us on our Facebook page, email us at [email protected], or give us a call at 618-922-5186 extension 8 during the hours listed above to start the process of getting a meet and greet scheduled.

Our dogs and puppies are kept in foster care, so their meet/greet availability may vary based on their foster family's schedule. We always try our best to find a good time that can work for everyone. As such, please contact us ahead of time if you are unable to make your scheduled meet and greet time. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

Step 3: Making it official - paperwork and adoption fees

Once you have found the animal you would like to adopt, it is time to make it official!

One of our team members will go over the biggest points of our adoption contract with you verbally. This is the best time to ask any questions you may have. We are glad to answer any questions you may have about the animal as well as give advice on how to best acclimate them to their new home with you. You will also get an opportunity to read the contract in its entirety in the next step.

After going over the adoption contract, we will text you a link to complete the adoption contract. If you are not comfortable with or able to complete the contract on your phone, please notify a team member and we can pull it up on our computer instead!

Besides going over the adoption contract, the biggest part of the adoption paperwork process is paying the animal's adoption fee. We prefer the adoption fee to be paid with a credit or debit card, but can also accept cash if needed. Please note that we are unable to accept checks.

What is the adoption fee for your animals?
Thanks to donations from our supporters, we are sometimes able to lower adoption fees or host adoption events with lowered adoption fees.
Please visit our Facebook page or contact us to inquire about the adoption fee of a certain animal.

General Adoption Fees:
Adult cats: $75-$100
Kittens: $125-$175
Adult dogs: $100

Once your adoption paperwork is complete, you will receive an email with your new animal's vet records to show the care they have already received with us!

If you do not have cash, we can accept card payments for this deposit for an additional nonrefundable $5 fee.
Carrier deposits are refunded in full upon the carrier's return to us.
Carriers must be returned clean and in good condition.

For Dogs:
We require all dogs and puppies to be transported home on a secure leash/slip lead.
If you do not have one please inform a staff member prior to adoption so we can accommodate.
